RABIES FOUND IN DELAWARE COUNTY - if you should find a bat in your home please notify animal control. Bats are considered high-risk exposure for rabies. Their saliva or body fluids, by being splashed on you, or something you might touch, can put you at risk. If a contact incident occurs or cannot be ruled out, the animal should be tested for rabies. People who have likely been contacted should seek medical advice immediately.
