Greetings Fellow Residents
As we approach the end of another year, we take time to reflect on the past year and once again thank all of those who volunteered their time to make Thornbury Township a better community. Our administration and Board of Supervisors have consistently sought your input on events and items of interest to you, our residents. Over the past five years we have increased the number of activities and broadened the types of activities we offer.
Regretfully, we have seen a marked decrease in participation in some of the events that have become a regular part of our schedule. Notably, attendance at the Friday night movie events has tapered off. These events require the significant expenditure of both financial and human resources. We are evaluating whether we should look to apply those resources in different areas to best serve our residents.
While attendance at some events has maintained a high level of participation, we are interested in hearing your feedback on the reasons for minimal attendance at activities such as the fishing derby. We recognize that people are busier now than ever, and we are most interested in your valued opinion on ways to ensure that we are offering programs that our residents desire.
Are the events not scheduled at optimal times? Are there more effective ways to communicate these events? Have they become stale? If so, what other events would you like to see offered?
Please take some time to respond to our inquiry. Thank you!
