Optional Recycling Program

Our recycling contractor, Opdenaker Hauling, has partnered with RecycleBank to further enhance our existing recycling program.  Opdenaker's newest program rewards you for recycling.

  1. For a nominal charge, Opdenaker will provide you with a 96 gallon, wheeled recycling cart with an embedded Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tag.
  2. Simply deposit your recyclables in the cart and place it curbside on the scheduled recycling days.
  3. The Opdenaker trucks will read the RFID tag when they pick up your recycle cart and weigh your recyclables. This weight is transmitted to RecycleBank.
  4. The amount is converted into RecycleBank Reward Points that you can use to shop at participating businesses, including CVS/pharmacy, ACME, and Dick's Sporting Goods, to name a few.

You are not required to participate in the RecycleBank program, but by ordinance you are required to recycle. Residents who are interested must contact Opdenaker at 610-459-3515 (Not the Township) to make arrangements to participate. You can also visit the RecycleBank website at www.recyclebank.com  for more information.

Corrugated Cardboard (RecycleBank customers only)

Opdenaker will pick up corrugated cardboard only from those residents enrolled in the RecycleBank program.  Corrugated Cardboard should be bundled separately from the rest of the recyclables and placed next to the recycling container.  It will be weighed and added to your RecycleBank Reward Points.  Other cardboard items, such as cereal boxes, may be deposited in the recycling container.
